For 18 months, Fiona was at the bottom of the cliff. Numerous attempts to rescue her by sea and by ground failed. Well fed and seemingly happy, locals bided their time but never gave up on her…
Rescued at last …
Finally, on November 4th, 2023, a team of climbers and riggers were able to reach Fiona, set her in a makeshift hoist, and pull her up the side of the steep cliff to safety.
Living in Scotland …
Fiona now lives happily at Dalscone Farm in southern Scotland, just 25 miles north of the English border.
